Fitness Classes

While running on the treadmill, working out on the elliptical machine, and lifting weights are all excellent forms of exercise, it is always a good idea to change up your workout routine by taking a class. When your body gets used to an exercise, your muscles are no longer being challenged. Variety in your workout routine will keep your body guessing, resulting in a more successful workout. At Riverfront Athletic Club, we offer a wide range of classes to meet a variety of fitness levels. HIIT or Les Mils Body Pump/Step

BODYPUMP® will get you lean, toned and fit. By using light to moderate weights, this high repetition workout will make your entire body happy to be alive. Instructors will coach you through moves and techniques while pumping out encouragement, motivation and great music. You will leave feeling challenged and wanting to come back for more.

Zumba

Inspired by Latin American music, Zumba involves elements of both aerobics and dance and incorporates music from a variety of dance styles, including salsa, mambo, samba, hip-hop, and tango. Zumba is an excellent choice for men and women of all ages, particularly those who like to dance, have fun, and socialize.

Cycling

More commonly referred to by its trademark name, “spinning,” cycling is a high-intensity class, which involves pedaling on a stationary bike at varying levels of resistance. Cycling is low-impact and a great alternative to high-impact exercises, such as running.

Aerobics

Aerobics can be a low-intensity or a high-intensity form of exercise and can be performed in a pool or in a studio. Studies have shown that aerobics exercise can promote a healthy heart, improve body and mind awareness, and strengthen muscles.

Group Exercise Classes

involves slow movements, stretches, and poses. Yoga offers a number of health benefits, both mental and physical. Many individuals who practice regularly find yoga helps to reduce stress, build muscle, and improve posture.

High Fitness

High Fitness is a High intensity interval training class to set the beat of the music to songs you know and love! This class offer lots of options so you can take it as High or low as you want.
